About the Kitchen Unit

In Ronneby municipality, we have gathered all kitchens in a common kitchen unit. We have a politically decided meal policy and a goal-oriented working method.

We prepare a lot of food from scratch and aim to increase the ecological share of food while reducing waste and our climate footprint. We always greet our guests with good service and a warm welcome.

The kitchen unit currently consists of about 30 kitchens with approximately 1-20 employees in each kitchen. We have production kitchens in most preschools and care homes. There are also 3 larger production kitchens that deliver food to preschools, schools, and care services. In total, we serve about 6,000 portions per day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a chef in the staff pool, you will step in and cover for illness and leave.

The tasks can vary greatly depending on which kitchen you will be in.

You may work alone, with all the responsibilities that entails one day, and in a kitchen with several colleagues the next day.

You will be in production kitchens, reception kitchens, or serving kitchens with varying tasks.

You will perform all tasks related to the kitchen and restaurant, such as cooking (including special diets), preparing salad buffets, serving various diets, planning and ordering, self-control, dishwashing, and cleaning.

Start date by agreement. Temporary employment until 270131.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained chef or has other training that the employer deems equivalent.

You should have good knowledge of large-scale food production, special diets, relevant legislation, self-control, and kitchen economy. The job requires good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as good computer skills.

We prefer that you have previous professional experience as a chef. Experience from the public sector is an advantage.

You are flexible, have a genuine interest in meals, and enjoy meeting our children and elderly in their daily lives. You have the ability to be self-sufficient and take responsibility while contributing to good collaboration in your team. You have a good sense of service.
