Kreativum Science Center in Karlshamn is a dynamic and exciting workplace that is full of discovery and 'aha' moments for the whole family. During the summer and school holidays, we welcome many visitors who want to enjoy coffee, lunch, or our baked goods.

We are now looking for an engaged chef to join our team for the summer, with the possibility of work before and after the holidays.

About the position

As a chef at Kreativum, you will help create a flavorful and energetic experience for our visitors. You will prepare food and bake for the café, focusing on light lunches, baguettes, salads, as well as cakes, ice cream, and drinks, all made or baked on-site.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare food and bake for the café's guests.
• Handle the cash register and provide good service to visitors.
• Take care of dishes and perform other kitchen tasks.
• Contribute creativity and initiative to develop the café's offerings and presentation.
• Kreativum also serves as a conference venue year-round, and tasks related to conferences may occur, which means preparing breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks for groups.

We are looking for someone who loves cooking and service. You are creative, responsible, and flexible, and thrive in a dynamically changing environment with varied tasks. You ensure that every portion and every coffee break is a positive experience for our guests. In short, you enjoy sharing your commitment and quality in the kitchen while being able to switch between different tasks throughout the day.

• Is 18 years or older and has experience or education in cooking and baking.
• Is responsible, flexible, and enjoys working with people.
• Can work independently, is alert, and takes initiative.
• Thrives in a dynamic work environment and wants to provide our guests with a positive experience.

Employment information

• Employment type: Fixed-term and hourly employment
• Period: Week 26–34 (possibility from week 14)
• Scope: Up to 80%, according to schedule (weekdays and weekends)
• Possibility of work before and after holidays
• Introduction training: Week 25 (mandatory, paid, including CPR training)

Introduction training

In week 25, we will have a mandatory introduction training for everyone who will work with us, covering both Kreativum as a workplace and your area of work. You will also receive CPR training led by an external party during the introduction. You will be paid for participating in the introduction training. Preliminary dates for the introduction training are June 16-18, 2026.
