We are looking for dedicated summer substitutes for our kitchen and restaurant at the hospital area in Karlshamn.

Meal Service in Karlshamn is part of the service area within Region Blekinge. We work to develop and deliver support and service functions to operations within the region.

Here in Karlshamn, we are a team of 11 employees who together prepare about 400 portions daily in our KRAV-certified central kitchen. Our main mission is to prepare meals for patients in care departments and visitors in the restaurant at the hospital in Karlshamn. We are passionate about sustainable meals and a health-promoting approach. We are now looking for summer substitutes for our operations.

About the Job

As a cook with us, you will play an important role in creating good and nutritious meals for patients and visitors. Your main tasks include:

Production of hot meals in a catering system together with the team.
Packing and transporting food items to departments.
Dishes, cleaning, and other common tasks in the kitchen.

We apply rotation in the workplace, and all work is done according to our routines and self-control programs.

The summer substitute position lasts for about 10 weeks and includes an introduction. Working hours are scheduled during the day with scheduled weekend shifts. We prefer that you can work the entire period, but there is an opportunity to adjust according to needs.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Is at least 18 years old at the start of employment.
Is a trained cook or has equivalent knowledge and experience deemed comparable by the employer.
Is responsible, proactive, and has a positive attitude towards collaboration.
Has a service-oriented attitude and enjoys creating good experiences for customers.
Can easily adapt to new situations.
We consider it an advantage if you have knowledge in dietary cooking and experience with the operational system Matilda.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
