About Tjärö

Tjärö, an island of 75 hectares, located in the heart of Blekinge Archipelago. Tjärö offers accommodation in charming small houses from the 1800s. There are 125 beds distributed across 48 rooms in 13 different houses. In addition to lodging, there is conference activity, a restaurant, a café, and a marina with over 70 boat slips. The island can be reached by boat from Järnavik, Karlshamn, or Matvik.

About Tjärö's restaurant

The restaurant at Tjärö is open for breakfast, lunch, à la carte, events, and theme evenings every day of the week. The restaurant has a capacity for about 100 guests in the dining room, 40 guests on the veranda, and a large outdoor terrace with a view of the marina. During the low season, the conference activities increase the workload in the kitchen, while during the high season and weekends, there is a greater focus on day guests, overnight guests, and boat guests.

The serving team consists of between 10-20 people working with breakfast, lunch, and evening service. This means our staff must be prepared to be flexible regarding working hours, workstations, and always be part of the practical work.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve à la carte with the guest in focus.
• Serve at breakfast and lunch buffets.
• Ongoing communication and collaboration with the kitchen.
• Assist our guests before, during, and after their stay, ensuring they have the best possible experiences.
• Maintain good order in the restaurant.
• You will also assist in the café and conference.

• You have experience working with à la carte service and are used to a fast pace.
