Job Advertisement: Restaurant Staff at Scandic Karlskrona
Scandic Karlskrona is located right by the water with a fantastic view of the archipelago. At the same time, the hotel is centrally located with close proximity to most of what Karlskrona has to offer. The hotel is fresh and welcoming for our guests, with design inspired by the Baltic Sea.
We are a team that works with great joy and commitment. Our employees are our greatest asset: with us, you should feel comfortable and proud of your workplace. Through good leadership and collaboration between departments, we create fantastic hotel experiences for our guests.
We are now looking for a skilled staff member for the restaurant at Scandic Karlskrona.
No matter why the guest comes to us, few things are as appreciated as a friendly face that welcomes them. You act as a host together with the rest of the hotel team and create a world-class guest experience.
With us, you will take significant responsibility for making the decisions necessary to satisfy the guest, and the teams develop and improve working methods and service as the world changes. We are convinced that it is when you get to develop and contribute all your skills and experience that we exceed the guest's expectations. On top of that, we have fun at work!
So bring your experiences, your commitment, and your way of thinking to us – and contribute to a culture where we genuinely care: about each other, our guests, and our planet. Welcome to Scandic!
What does the role entail?
You are the first person the guest meets in our restaurant, so it is crucial that you have a warm demeanor and are attentive to details and the guest's needs. You have a burning interest in food and beverages and enjoy order and tidiness, both in your own work and in your colleagues' work. All to provide our guests with a fantastic dining experience. Your main tasks will be to serve food and drinks and to be responsible for your own cash register. You will also support the hotel team with other tasks as needed.
Who are you?
To fit in this role, we believe you have at least two years of experience in similar work and experience in concept-driven operations. Since the job largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, that is an advantage.
However, the most important thing is your personal qualities and attitude. To fit in this role, you need to be a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes significant responsibility for your tasks and the overall result. It is also important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel’s guests.
Information about the position:
The position is a summer job on a part-time basis.
We only accept applications via our website. All applications will be processed continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline, so we ask you to apply as soon as possible. In this recruitment, we use a simpler service test during selection.
We look forward to welcoming you to us at Scandic!
Ps. on our website, you can read more about the position, our benefits, and what it is like to work at Scandic!
We go further when diversity is embraced. With us, you have the space to be yourself and develop in the direction you want, with secure conditions and fair agreements as a foundation. Bring your experiences, your commitment, and your way of thinking to us - contribute to a culture where we genuinely care: about each other, our guests, and our planet. Welcome to Scandic.
