About Tjärö

Tjärö, an island of 75 hectares, located in the middle of Blekinge's Archipelago. Tjärö offers accommodation in charming small houses from the 1800s. There are 125 beds distributed over 48 rooms in 13 different houses. In addition to lodging, there are conference activities, a restaurant, a café, and a marina with over 70 boat slips. You can reach the island by boat from Järnavik, Karlshamn, or Matvik.

About Tjärö's restaurant

The restaurant at Tjärö is open for breakfast, lunch, à la carte, events, and theme nights every day of the week. The restaurant has a capacity for about 100 guests in the dining room, 40 guests on the veranda, and a large outdoor seating area overlooking the marina. During the low season, the conference activities increase the workload in the kitchen, while during the high season and weekends, there is a greater focus on day guests, overnight guests, and boat guests.

The serving team consists of between 10-20 people working with breakfast, lunch, and evening service. This means that our staff must be prepared to be flexible regarding working hours, workstations, and always be part of the practical work.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare the breakfast buffet in collaboration with the breakfast chef.
• Welcome guests to the breakfast and lunch buffet.
• Ongoing communication and collaboration with the kitchen.
• Assist our guests before, during, and after their stay, ensuring they have the best possible experiences.
• Maintain good order in the restaurant and follow daily and weekly routines.
• You will also assist in the café and conference.
