Job Description

Randstad is now looking for assemblers and technicians for a consulting assignment in the railway and automotive industry in Västerås. Here you will have the opportunity to work in a future-oriented industry with varied tasks, strong team spirit, and good development opportunities.

You will work practically with assembly and installation in vehicles, where both mechanical and electrical work is involved. The role suits you who enjoy working with your hands, solving problems, and want to build broad technical competence in a complex and exciting field.

Your tasks may include:

• Perform mechanical assembly and simpler electrical assembly in vehicles.
• Run and connect wiring according to drawings and instructions.
• Work with hand tools and assembly equipment in production.
• Follow work instructions, safety routines, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in the production team.

The work is varied and tasks may change over time, giving you the opportunity to learn multiple processes and build broad competence in the field.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is practical, curious, and wants to develop within technology and assembly.

We would like you to have:

• 1 to 2 years of experience in mechanical work, electrical assembly, vehicles, industry, or similar.
• Experience working with tools and following drawings or instructions.
• A technical interest, for example through work, education, or hobbies.
• A valid driver's license and access to a car.

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience as a mechanic, electrical assembler, train technician, or carpenter.
• Education or certification in crimping, soldering, torque, or occupational safety.
