Your Role

As a Senior Mechanical Designer at Etteplan, you will work in close collaboration with our clients on their delivery and development projects. You will hold a key role in technically demanding assignments where your experience contributes to robust, sustainable, and well-founded design solutions.

We offer hybrid work, where you combine client-site work with collaboration in an experienced and competent project team at our office. Assignments may cover the entire or parts of the development chain – from feasibility studies and concepts to detailed design, verification, and further development of existing products.

A major focus lies on large-scale delivery projects within the railway industry, nuclear power, and large electric power motors. Here, we work with technically complex systems, often with high requirements for safety, documentation, and traceability. If you have experience with – or a special interest in – welded structures, heavy structures, railways, or nuclear power, you will fit in very well with us.

At the same time, you thrive in close dialogue with clients and colleagues, acting as a sounding board, problem solver, and technical advisor.

We look for candidates with:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in mechanical design
• Substantial experience in designing and working with welded structures and/or heavy structures
• Very good knowledge of one or more design tools, such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Catia V5, Creo, Inventor, or NX
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing

Since many of our clients today are from the defense and energy sectors, Swedish citizenship is required. Dual citizenship is acceptable if it is Sweden + another NATO country.
