Medical Secretaries Wanted for Adult Psychiatry Inpatient Care

For the summer season of 2026, we are now looking for medical secretaries for adult psychiatry inpatient care in Varberg or Halmstad.

About the Job

As a medical secretary, you will work with medical documentation, registration of arrivals, receiving phone calls, and other administrative tasks such as certificates, scanning, and mail handling. You will work closely with various professionals.

This is a temporary employment according to agreement during the summer period of 2026 (June-August). If you have the opportunity to start earlier on a part-time basis, we see that as a positive.

About Us

The Adult Psychiatry Inpatient Care in Varberg has six wards for inpatient care: wards 20 and 21 which are forensic psychiatric wards, ward 22 which is a general psychiatric ward, ward 23 focusing on psychosis care, ward 24 which is a ward for addiction patients, and PIVA which is a psychiatric intensive care unit with emergency reception. The facility also has ECT and LARO clinics.

The Adult Psychiatry Inpatient Care in Halmstad has three wards for inpatient care: ward 19 which is a general psychiatric ward focusing on eating disorders and postpartum, ward 26 which is a general psychiatric ward focusing on the elderly and psychoses, and PIVA which is a psychiatric intensive care unit with emergency reception. The facility also has ECT and LARO clinics.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained medical secretary, or currently in training, with good knowledge of the Swedish language and medical terminology. You are service-oriented and have a good ability to plan and prioritize in your daily work. You are meticulous, flexible, and attentive. You can express yourself well in speech and writing and work well in a team. Experience as a medical secretary is an advantage but not a requirement. Knowledge of the documentation system Cosmic is an advantage. Personal suitability is highly valued.
