About the Role

As a designer, you will be an important part of the development chain, from idea and concept to finished product. You will work both with new development and adaptation of existing solutions, in close collaboration with production, colleagues, and customers. The role is varied and social, where your ability to combine technology, communication, and creativity will shine. You will work in an environment where decision-making paths are short and where it is easy to influence and drive development forward.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop designs in 3D-CAD, primarily SolidWorks but also AutoCAD
• Prepare drawings, parts lists, and manufacturing documentation
• Develop solutions in sheet metal and steel constructions, including welded structures
• Perform simple calculations for strength and assess material choices
• Adapt standard and special solutions based on customer requirements and technical needs
• Provide technical support to production and collaborate with various functions in the organization
• Participate in customer meetings alongside sales to guide and provide technical input

Travel occurs to a lesser extent, mainly planned day trips within Sweden as well as occasional visits to Norway or Denmark.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a genuine technical interest, who is communicative and enjoys a social role with many contact points. You like problem-solving, are meticulous, and want to contribute to long-term sustainable solutions. To succeed in the role, you need to have:

• University or vocational education in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or equivalent
• or relevant experience from technical environments such as sheet metal, welding, or design
• Experience in design within the manufacturing industry or automotive sector
• Good knowledge of CAD tools (3D modeling and drawing management)
• Understanding of production and practical workshop work
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, or ventilation
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different functions
• Driver's license B

Meritorious:

• Experience working in smaller or medium-sized companies with broad roles and fast decision-making paths
• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards for industrial designs
