At Norlandia Elderly Care, we are looking for you who are a care assistant/nursing assistant and who want to work full-time/part-time during all or part of the summer at Kvarnåsen elderly home in Årjäng. As a care assistant/nursing assistant, you are a valuable key player who contributes to ensuring that our residents have a safe and meaningful existence in their later years. As a care assistant/nursing assistant, you are responsible for providing dignified and good care based on the individual needs of the elderly. Tasks may include assistance with personal care, medication administration, documentation, support during activities, serving meals, as well as light cleaning in the residents' apartments and washing personal clothes. You will be involved in everything from educational care moments to enjoyable activities with the residents. We also have close cooperation with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. It is a very exciting job!

Is located in Årjäng municipality, Värmland County, which is close to the Norwegian border. Kvarnåsen is centrally located in the community, close to the bus stop, and we are only 120 km from Oslo. Årjäng offers rich natural life with several lakes and beautiful nature reserves with hiking trails.

Kvarnåsen has 92 apartments distributed over nine units.

We offer dementia care, psychogeriatric care, and somatic care.

Each unit has a kitchen, dining room/living room, and opportunities for outdoor activities. In the Pillar Hall, there is a meeting place where our activity coordinators organize activities based on requests. Here we celebrate birthdays, traditions, and organize various festivities – all to ensure that the elderly experience a good life – every day. Meals are prepared by the chefs in the municipality's restaurant kitchen located in the building.

We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We prefer that you enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. Additionally, you should be able to collaborate easily with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed.

• It is meritorious if you have a nursing assistant education (or equivalent education) of at least 1350 points.

• It is strongly meritorious if you have previous experience in elderly care.

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

• We prefer that you have good computer skills and experience with documentation.

Start date: June, July, and August 2026

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present a criminal record extract. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
