Havets Hus in Lysekil AB is a municipal company owned by Lysekil Stadshus AB, which in turn is owned by Lysekil municipality.

Havets Hus was founded in 1993 and is today one of Bohuslän's most popular tourist destinations. The aquarium is a tribute to the rich marine life of the West Coast. Here, light-hearted experiences for the whole family coexist with serious challenges for the future. Every year, nearly 80,000 visitors get acquainted with hundreds of fascinating species – from the spiny dogfish to the dead man's hand.

Havets Hus aims to create engagement for life in a healthy ocean. Through knowledge of all marine ecosystems and their utilization, Havets Hus will convey a fascination for and understanding of the significance of marine ecosystem services and their conservation.

Great, then this could be the job for you! We are looking for someone who wants our guests to have an unforgettable experience at Havets Hus.

We are seeking staff for our restaurant this summer from when school ends until it begins again.

The positions we have are for restaurant assistants.

You should be 16 years or older, with a cheerful demeanor and a desire to do a good job.

Responsibilities

Working hours and duration may vary between the different positions.

You will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive excellent service and that cash register operations are accurate. Therefore, you should have a strong sense of service, be stress-resistant, and meticulous.

In addition to customer service, some cleaning and dishwashing will be included.

You should not be afraid to get your hands dirty; all staff help with most tasks, and the focus is on creating a pleasant atmosphere for our visitors.

Qualifications

You need to have arranged accommodation within commuting distance to Havets Hus when applying for a position with us.

You must be able to speak and write fluent Swedish and have good knowledge of English. Other languages are a plus.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

For cold kitchen staff, experience is an advantage.

Conditions

All our employees are offered fire training or fire drills, CPR training, and internal training about Havets Hus. To work at Havets Hus, attendance at training days is required.

Mandatory dates:

• Internal training on May 30 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
• CPR training on June 15 from 8 AM to 10 AM.
• Fire drill on June 16 from 8 AM to 10 AM.

The date for aquarium guidance has not yet been set, but it is also mandatory.

A certificate from the Criminal Records Register is required before employment can take place. References must be provided at any interview. Recruitment may occur during the application period.
