Technical Sales Engineer in Gothenburg

In the role of Technical Sales Engineer, you will be a central link between our internal teams at Fameco and our customers. With us, you will have a role where your technical expertise and ability to build relationships truly make a difference.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you are Fameco's technical expert close to the customer's development work. You act as a bridge between the customer's R&D organization and Fameco's internal sales, engineering, and purchasing resources. The role involves solving technical questions in the short term while identifying long-term improvement and business opportunities.

In this role, you will work closely with the customer's design and purchasing departments and support them in issues related to material selection, surface treatment, standardization, and design support. You are a key person in creating effective solutions and contributing to the customer's development. You will be based at our office in Mölndal, but the role may require you to be on-site at our customers' locations some days.

  • Participate in rationalization projects and develop recommended assortments for construction
  • Provide design support and act as an expert in working groups for requirement standards and design guidelines
  • Educate and inform the customer's employees about standardization and best practices
  • Manage article cases
  • Be present in the customer's operations, e.g., conduct Line Walks, to provide recommendations on the best solutions

Your profile

To thrive in the role of Technical Sales Engineer, we are looking for someone with a technical background who enjoys working closely with customers in a consulting role. You are curious, relationship-building, and self-driven with a strong initiative. You have the ability to pick up signals from the customer and act proactively.

We would like you to have:

  • Master's degree in engineering or equivalent technical education
  • Several years of work experience in engineering, preferably in Automotive
  • Good understanding of reading drawings, standards, and material selection
  • CAD skills
  • Experience in galvanization, surface treatment, and material knowledge is a plus
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written; Swedish is a plus
