About Us

The Specialist Center for Children and Youth consists of two clinics, one located in Angered and one in Gamlestaden. Here, motivated and development-oriented employees work with good collaboration between the clinics. Together, we provide specialist healthcare based on the medical and psychological needs of children and adolescents. We primarily have planned visits but also some emergency visits for chronically ill children and children under one year old. The operation also has a public health responsibility and works in close cooperation with municipal activities. Our team includes specialists in pediatric medicine, subspecialized pediatricians in allergology and neurology, as well as child psychiatrists. Professions such as pediatric nurses, psychologists, social workers, speech therapists, dietitians, special educators, and medical secretaries are also part of our teams.

About the Position

We are looking for a pediatric neurologist/pediatrician who wants to work with outpatient care both individually and in multiprofessional teams. As a specialist in pediatric neurology and habilitation, you will work with the investigation and follow-up of neurological conditions in children at a specialist level, such as investigations for epilepsy, atypical psychomotor development, suspected syndromes, and suspected neurodegenerative conditions. You will also work to some extent with general pediatric outpatient care. You will have a high degree of collaboration with other professionals in the clinic and also with other services outside the clinic, such as the pediatric neurologist at Queen Silvia's Children's Hospital, Children's and Youth Habilitation, schools, and social services.

As a specialist in pediatric medicine, you will work with general pediatric outpatient care and have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in a specific area. There may also be opportunities for some work in child health care.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a pediatric neurologist or pediatrician with experience in pediatric care and clinical work in recent years. You are passionate about working with children and youth in a multicultural environment. To thrive, it is important that you have good social skills and the ability to collaborate. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written forms.

Personal qualities are important to us. You are curious, engaged, and interested in new opportunities. You have a strong team spirit, social competence, and good communication skills. Innovative thinking and interest in developmental work in a multiprofessional environment are important qualities.
