The hospitals in the west are an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consist of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Description

As a physician in the primary care team (NSVT), you will work in a team together with experienced nurses. NSVT targets patients with complex care and support needs, where care requires collaboration across organizational boundaries (hospital/community/primary care).

Starting from 260401, we will introduce an Elderly Team in the emergency department Monday to Friday. This means that you as a physician, together with a nurse from NSVT, a care coordinator from the emergency department, and a rehabilitation staff member will work together in the team. This team will receive fragile, elderly patients in the emergency department.

You as a physician will rotate between NSVT and the Elderly Team in the emergency department.

Responsibilities

Primary Care Team:

The working method within NSVT is symptom-oriented rather than diagnosis-oriented, aiming for a more person-centered, team-based, and proactive approach. NSVT follows the patient until their situation has stabilized.

Elderly Team in the Emergency Department:

In your role as a specialist physician, you will be responsible for the medical care in the Elderly Team and lead the care process in collaboration with others in the team and across organizational boundaries (hospital/community/primary care). A natural part of the role will be to contribute to development work.

Qualifications

We are looking for a specialist physician in geriatrics, general medicine, or internal medicine. You should be confident in your profession and capable of taking initiative. We expect you to work independently while contributing to successful teamwork in daily operations. You want to help build the future of close care and are interested in developing the operations. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment Scope
