E.ON in Sweden is part of the international energy group E.ON SE, headquartered in Essen, Germany. The group employs around 70,000 people in 17 countries. In Sweden, around 2,100 dedicated employees work. Our Nordic headquarters is located in Malmö. In Sweden, we deliver electricity, heat, and smart energy solutions to over a million households and businesses. E.ON's role is to take responsibility and drive development forward, enabling more people to transition. With our investments and our customers' willingness to contribute, we work to continue electrifying society and meet future energy needs.
Welcome to us at E.ON – and become part of the energy transition. In collaboration with our customers and partners, we ensure that electricity and heat are produced, used, and recycled smarter. If you have passion and believe in the power of working together, E.ON is the place for you.
About us
At E.ON, we work every day to create safe and sustainable heat for our customers – both today and in the future. By combining practical knowledge with digital development, we ensure that our district heating solutions operate stably, efficiently, and smartly.
We are now looking for a service technician to join the Service and Metering team on our journey towards a more digital and smart future in the energy sector.
Your role
As a Service Technician, you will be an important mediator of both security and quality in our customers' facilities. You will work closely with our customers and ensure that their district heating plants function as they should – both through regular service visits and by solving problems as they arise. The customer is at the center of our focus, and we strive to deliver the best service possible while looking ahead to how we can develop our services and offer an even better experience for our customers.
This is a practical role that requires working independently while also having strong support from the team through knowledge sharing and collaboration. Approximately every fifth week, there will be on-call duty, with on-call compensation, which many of our current service technicians find to be an exciting variation in their daily work.
Your experiences
We are looking for someone driven by a passion for technology and who enjoys working practically, preferably in combination with meeting people. We welcome both junior and more experienced candidates – what matters to us is that you want to grow in the role and find the field exciting.
We prefer that you have a background in the energy sector or another related technical field where electrical knowledge and plumbing experience are particularly relevant. Much learning can be done on the job, but a basic understanding is necessary for you to perform the work.
To succeed in the role, you need to be able to work practically with service and troubleshooting with a curiosity for new technology. We also see that you have a desire to learn and develop within the role and appreciate input and new ideas to optimize for both us and the customer. It is also important to be able to see the customer's perspective and nurture relationships to build trust.
Since visits to our customers in Malmö constitute the largest part of the work, a B driver's license is a requirement for the role.
What is it like with us?
We are a warm and unpretentious team where everyone helps each other, whether it involves time-pressured assignments or just sharing experiences. Our culture is built on safety, openness, and community – and we believe that people grow best in an environment where they receive support and have ample room to develop.
We work with the customer in focus and with great care for each other. We believe in long-term relationships – this is a role where you can thrive and develop for many years to come.
Your nearest manager is Linda Westman – Linda is unpretentious in her leadership and driven by seeing others grow in their roles. It should be fun to be at work, so for Linda, it is important to maintain a positive attitude even on more challenging days.
At E.ON, we actively work with inclusion - it is crucial for driving the energy transition forward. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe working environment with meaningful tasks and good opportunities for development. We continually challenge ourselves to create a welcoming workplace, where we hope you will thrive.
We work for a more sustainable energy society, but it is equally important that our employees have the conditions to care for their personal sustainability. Therefore, we offer good benefits to ensure you feel well and have a good balance between work and leisure. Some of these include a working time reduction that is higher than the industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more!
