About the Position

As a Mechanical Engineer at Bröderna Ahlm Maskin AB, you will have a broad and operational role where you will help develop customized machines from idea to finished product. The company builds and assembles machines in its own workshop and works closely with both production and assembly, which means that your designs quickly become a reality.

You will be part of a smaller, family-owned company with short decision-making paths, great personal responsibility, and an unpretentious culture where close collaboration is a given. The work primarily takes place on-site in Skurup, with good commuting options via train and the E65 between Malmö and Ystad. Working hours are from 07:00 to 16:00.

In your role as a Mechanical Engineer, your main tasks will include:

Creating CAD models and manufacturing documentation in SolidWorks
Designing and further developing machines and customized solutions
Performing technical calculations and dimensioning
Collaborating with production, assembly, sales, service, and after-sales
Participating in improvements of work methods, design, and production
Contact with suppliers and customers

This position is a direct recruitment with a start date according to agreement.

About You

We are looking for someone with a technical education in mechanical engineering or equivalent, such as a bachelor's or master's degree, and who has experience in design within the manufacturing industry. You are proficient in SolidWorks and accustomed to producing design documentation that works all the way through to production.

As a person, you are driven and engaged, and you enjoy taking responsibility and ownership in your work. You appreciate a role where you act as the spider in the web and can use your communication skills to contribute to close and effective collaboration. While you have an eye for detail, you also have the ability to lift your gaze and see the bigger picture in a project.

Important for the Position:

Relevant education
Professional experience in the field
Good knowledge of SolidWorks
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with vehicle superstructures
Experience with preparation in Monitor ERP
Experience with CAM preparation
Experience with PDM systems
