When our regular staff take a well-deserved vacation, we are looking for you who want to contribute to our continued provision of safe and quality care at Elmstagården in Älmsta, thirty kilometers north of Norrtälje city.

About the Position
As a nursing assistant or caregiver at Elmstagården, you work closely with people in need of care and support. Your tasks include personal care, assistance during meals, social interaction, and walks. You are also expected to work with delegated tasks from nurses/rehab and follow applicable routines and guidelines. The work is varied, and you work both independently and together with colleagues. The job requires great commitment, and you are expected to actively participate in developing and improving the operations.
The shifts are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend. If you have previous experience with night work, we may be able to offer you night shifts as needed. The employment rate varies between 75-100%. The schedule starts from week 25, but training will be ongoing throughout the spring.
Please note that public transport is limited, so we prefer that you have a driver's license or an alternative means of getting to Elmstagården if you live far away.
In this process, we will check citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to present a valid residence/work permit or prove that you are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
We offer an introductory training and work clothes.
Your Tasks Include:
- Providing personal care.
- Participating in social interactions with residents and accompanying them on walks.
- Performing delegated tasks from nurses or rehab staff.
- Working both independently and in collaboration with colleagues to provide the best possible care for our residents.
About You
For this position, you need:
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
It is an advantage if you also:
- Are a trained nursing assistant and have applied for a protected professional title.
- Have experience working in care and nursing homes.
- Have experience from night work.
- Have a driver's license as public transport is limited, especially on weekends.
As you will be replacing regular staff, we expect you to be self-sufficient but able to ask for help when needed. We value good teamwork skills as the team consists of various professions and personalities. In challenging situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled, focusing on the right things.

Elmstagården has 56 apartments divided into 1-room and 2-room units, with staffing around the clock. Our goal is to create residences that we ourselves would choose to live in. We enjoy our garden where everything from barbecues to bowling tournaments takes place. Other Information
As of July 1, 2023, the nursing assistant title is protected. This means that a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to hold the title of nursing assistant. You can apply for the certificate on the National Board of Health and Welfare's website. If you have care and nursing education according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations but have not yet received the professional certificate, you can instead be employed under a different title.
