About the role

We are now looking for a mechanical engineer for an international medical technology company with a strong focus on innovation and quality. They are seeking a Mechanical Designer for their R&D team in the Gothenburg area. Bring your expertise in mechanical design to contribute with purpose, passion, and engaged colleagues.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design of micromechanical components from concept to production
• CAD modeling (PTC Creo is used)
• Development and testing of physical prototypes
• Idea generation, design management, and verification activities
• Optimization of designs regarding cost, performance, and manufacturability
• Management of design changes and updating of technical documentation
• Ensuring compliance with medical device regulations and standards
• Documentation according to the company's development processes

• Has a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering
• Has 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within medical technology or another regulated industry
• Is experienced in CAD modeling, preferably in Creo
• Is practical, structured, and thrives in a collaborative environment
• Has a proactive, solution-oriented approach and good documentation skills
• Is fluent in English, both spoken and written
  

This is initially a temporary position until the turn of the year 26/27, where you will work as a consultant via Friday.
