About the Hotel

Scandic Visby is located with the best starting point to explore the medieval town or venture out into the countryside by car. A lovely hotel with a resort feel, where the rooms are divided into different buildings. Our restaurant is open year-round, serving breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening, with menus that change according to the season. During the summer, we open our lovely outdoor terrace with a pool, and for those who want to swim year-round, we offer a warm hot tub under the open sky.

We who work here focus on a personal, friendly, and welcoming approach towards our guests, of course, but also towards each other. We always focus on our collective work and come together where needed. By being a team that works with a lot of inspiration and joy, we create fantastic hotel experiences for our guests.

What Does the Role of Waitress/Waiter Entail?

You are the first person guests meet in our restaurant, so it is of great importance that you have a warm demeanor and are attentive to details and the needs of the guests. You have a passion for food and drink and appreciate order and cleanliness, both in your own work and that of your colleagues. All to provide our guests with a fantastic dining experience. Your main tasks will be to serve food and drinks and to be responsible for your own cash register. You will also support the hotel team with other tasks as needed.

Who Are You?

To fit in this role, we believe you have experience in similar work. Since the job largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, that is an advantage.

However, the most important are your personal qualities and attitude. To fit in this role, you need to be a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result. It is also important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel’s guests. It is advantageous if you have some form of education in Hotel and Restaurant.

Information About the Position:

The position is a seasonal part-time employment of about 25-35 hours/week. It is an advantage if you can start in April/May until August/September, possibly longer as we have a long season in Gotland.

We are open every day, and working hours apply to afternoons/evenings. You will work on a rotating schedule and work both weekdays and weekends.
