Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.

We are now looking for a social worker for our team at the Child and Family Unit, which is one of seven units within IFO. Currently, a total of 18 people work in the unit, including a unit manager, a senior social worker, three social workers in reception, 12 investigating social workers, and an administrative assistant.

Ystad Municipality is part of Backa Barnet together with Region Skåne and the Police nationally. Backa Barnet is a joint model to ensure children's rights, to promptly identify children's needs, and to provide coordinated support. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At the Child and Family Unit, we work from a systems theory perspective with a developed child perspective and use BBIC as our case management and documentation tool. We have Lifecare as our operational system.

As a social worker, your main task will be case management according to SoL and LVU focusing on children and youth aged 0-18 years, their families, and networks. You will investigate and assess the resources and support needs of children and families and decide on and follow up various interventions at home. Placed children are followed up by another unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. A requirement is that you have current experience in authority exercise in the form of investigations involving children and youth. You have good knowledge of child development and it is essential for you to be engaged with children at risk. You also see the child's network as an important resource in the change process.

As a social worker, you need to be secure and stable and possess the ability to remain calm as there is often a high pace. Furthermore, you need to have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You will meet many people in crisis and/or with complex life situations, which means you must be able to see opportunities, convey hope, and meet people in a respectful manner.

You need to be able to work both independently and collaboratively with others. Furthermore, you need to be able to work in a structured manner by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. You should have good reflective and analytical skills and be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing, as the job involves a significant amount of documentation and administration.

A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position.
