Job Description

We at Randstad Life Sciences are looking for a microbiologist for a QC GMP operation in Uppsala. The assignment is expected to start in March and last for about a year.

We are looking for someone with an academic degree (Msc/Bsc) in microbiology. You should have good laboratory experience, enjoy practical work, and have experience working with microbial analyses, preferably in a GMP environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing microbiological quality controls of raw materials, media, active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, and finished products. You will also carry out environmental sampling in production, so prior experience with environmental samples is highly meritorious. Continuous improvement work related to the QC operation will also be included.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological quality controls
• Conduct environmental sampling and analysis of clean rooms
• Compile, verify, and report results in LIMS
• Plan your own work according to given priorities and timelines
• Participate in deviation investigations
• Work according to GMP guidelines
• Actively participate in the client's improvement work

Qualifications

• Academic education in microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology, or equivalent
• Experience in laboratory work with microorganisms from academia or industry.
• Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is required
• Practical experience in endotoxin analysis, bioburden, and/or total viable count is meritorious.
• Highly meritorious with experience in environmental sampling in production
• Experience working in a GMP environment is an advantage
