Your Everyday Life – Contribute to Strengthening Sweden's Total Defense within a Technology and Development Unit

Fortifikationsverket is an authority with socially important operations, which is in strong growth. One of our main tasks is to develop the fortification competence for total defense. The unit Technology and Development of Fortification and Properties (TUFF) is responsible for fortification protection and consists of five groups; Program, Technical Supply, Product Development, Construction and Property, and Protection Development, with a total of approximately 60 employees in various specialist roles.

We are now looking for a development engineer or specialist to join the Construction and Property group. The group is responsible for requirement specification, analysis, and verification of solutions for protection and supply at both system and component levels. Construction and Property is also responsible for developing approved prototype buildings.

In the role of Development Engineer/Specialist Systems Engineering, the following tasks are included:

• Working with needs analysis for protected facilities together with our customers.
• Together with project leaders and specialists, developing requirement specifications for protection and supply systems and managing the requirements down to subsystem and component levels.
• Providing support in testing to verify newly developed systems and subsystems based on the developed requirement specification.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a civil engineering degree with a relevant focus or other education that the employer deems appropriate. You have one or more years of work experience as a requirements engineer or equivalent and are driven in your work approach and have a genuine interest in technology and product development. For the role, very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form is required. It is also a requirement that you are a Swedish citizen, a proficient user of the Office suite, and have good administrative skills. A Class B driver's license is also required.

Knowledge of systems engineering (according to ISO/IEC 15288) and experience in product development is an advantage. Experience in testing and verification of products is also a merit.

About the Employment

The position is a permanent employment and may begin with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a war position. The place of employment is Eskilstuna. An employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and entails placement in a security class.
