Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for two new colleagues as transport service investigators in Malmö City. One of the positions is a permanent employment and the other is a longer temporary position.

As a transport service investigator, you will handle applications for transport services and national transport services in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act. The work involves independently investigating cases, assessing, and making decisions according to the Transport Services Act, National Transport Services Act, guidelines, and application instructions for transport services and national transport services in Malmö City.

The work primarily involves investigating the customer's difficulties in moving and being able to travel using public transportation. You will also review medical statements submitted in the case. As a transport service investigator, you may, if necessary, represent Malmö City legally in transport service cases. If needed, you will also have contact via phone/digitally with the applicant. Other tasks related to your work may also occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A relevant university degree, for example in law, behavioral science, or social work/other equivalent education.
• Experience in investigative work, for example from social services, care administration, healthcare, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form and good knowledge of English in spoken form.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience in public authority work.
• Familiarity with working in Procapita with investigations.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience working with the elderly and disabled.
• Interest in or experience with system responsibility.

To succeed as a transport service investigator, you need to be empathetic and objective. To thrive and function well in the role, you must be communicative and have the ability to inform and convey decisions clearly, correctly, and smoothly both in writing and verbally. We prefer that you are a humble team player with a flexible approach within the work group, as well as being self-driven with problem-solving analytical skills. You are structured, meticulous, and responsible. Meeting people, both individually and in groups, comes naturally to you while being attentive and knowing that good service is a prerequisite for success.
