Licensed Mathematics Teacher for Grades 6-9

Vittra Schools, one of Sweden's leading independent school companies with 24 preschools and primary schools across the country. Together, we are responsible for approximately 8000 children and students and have around 1000 employees. We started our first school in 1993 and have been part of AcadeMedia, the largest educational company in the Nordic countries, since 2008.

Vittra is a socially engaged preschool and primary school where children and students learn about themselves and the world. With us, conscious children and students are shaped, equipped with the right tools and knowledge to create a better and more sustainable society. We achieve this through our unique pedagogical direction based on three components: conscious learning, courageous culture, and clear structure.

This is what we are looking for:

We are now looking for a licensed and qualified mathematics teacher for grades 6-9. We want you to be a clear leader with a focus on student achievement. We see you as a teacher who builds your instruction on close pedagogical relationships with students and who is passionate about meeting students in their individual development based on their experiences, prior knowledge, and abilities.

At Vittra, we strive for an interdisciplinary approach that gives students a holistic view and understanding of how different subjects are interconnected. At Vittra, you belong to a work team, so it is important that you are interested in participating in and contributing to collegial learning.

At Vittra, we want to be at the forefront of digital tools for increased goal fulfillment, so it is an advantage if you are interested in and have experience using IT in your teaching, such as Google Apps for Education.

We offer:

At Vittra, you are always part of a work team where you and your colleagues plan, implement, and evaluate teaching together with the students. Collaboration in the work team is a crucial factor in creating teaching and a learning environment that can suit all students regardless of background.

We offer a developing work environment with many career paths. Vittra has a training program consisting of various external training sessions as well as internal training, including a leadership development program for team leaders and networking meetings for lead teachers.

We have high expectations of ourselves and our collective work based on collegial learning and the individual needs of students. Together, we build a safe and challenging environment where everyone can develop, both students and adults.

You will teach grades 6-9 in mathematics and be the responsible educator for grade 8.
