Test Automation Engineer for Critical IT Environment

ABOUT THE POSITION

In the role of Test Automation Engineer, you will be an important part of a cross-functional team working with modern system solutions. You will be responsible for driving and further developing test automation and ensuring high quality throughout the development chain. The work is conducted closely with developers, testers, and other key roles in a technically advanced environment with high demands for reliability and security.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will drive the development of automated tests and contribute to improving test strategies and processes in a complex, critical IT environment.

Design, development, and maintenance of automated tests
Contribute to the improvement of test strategies, test processes, and working methods
Test modern systems based on microservices and container solutions
Collaborate with development teams within DevOps and CI/CD flows
Ensure that testing is conducted in a structured, efficient manner with a focus on quality

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has a relevant post-secondary IT education, MSc, BSc in Computer Science or Electronics, or equivalent
Has at least 5 years of work experience in software testing and at least 3 years of practical experience in test automation
Has very good knowledge of Python and/or Java
Has very good knowledge of SQL and database management
Has very good knowledge of version control and Git
Is fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is meritorious if you have

Experience in testing microservice-based and container-based systems (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes)
Experience with DevOps practices and integration of tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions)
Experience in performance testing (e.g., k6 or JMeter) and basic security testing
Experience in log management and troubleshooting in distributed systems using tools like the ELK stack or Splunk
Experience with tools like Cypress or Playwright for modern web testing
