At the Orthopedic Clinic, we provide specialized and complex care in Orthopedics through acute and elective patient flows. We operate around the clock, every day of the week, and our patients are aged 15 and older.

Job Responsibilities

As an operations planner, you will have a central and coordinating role in the organization. Together with our other operations planner, you will be responsible for planning and optimizing the surgical program. Your tasks include, among others:

• Planning the surgical program in collaboration with responsible doctors
• Scheduling, preparing, and planning both inpatient and day surgery patients
• Receiving cancellations and deletions and filling gaps in the surgical program
• Ensuring that patients are optimally prepared for surgery
• Telephone advice to patients regarding surgical planning
• Responsibility for coordination with our care departments
• Participation in quality and development work
• Continuous improvement work regarding flows and work methods

Qualifications

Previous experience in surgical planning.
Relevant healthcare education

Personal Characteristics

You have an easy time building good relationships with colleagues both externally and internally. You are a good representative of the Orthopedic department at the hospital, are communicative and diplomatic while having the ability to prioritize.

About the Organization

The Orthopedic area at Danderyd Hospital is a round-the-clock operation with over 300 employees. We provide both acute and elective care and meet patients at our orthopedic outpatient clinic, at the orthopedic section of the hospital's emergency department, and at our two orthopedic inpatient wards.

We operate in central surgery with our own surgical staff and also conduct day orthopedic surgical operations. Our operations also include a comprehensive paramedical section.
