Psychiatry Southern Stockholm is hiring a Nurse
Psychiatry Southern Stockholm strives to be a leading example in Swedish psychiatry.
We do this by working person-centered, offering the right competence for the patient's needs, emphasizing the application of evidence-based guidelines and care programs. We continue to invest in development work in the areas of patient safety, care processes, and our most important resource, our employees. We are over 1000 dedicated employees who provide patients with good, safe, and equitable care.
Our nursing group is looking for more colleagues!
We are looking for you who are curious about psychiatry but also want to keep a foot in somatic care. You can apply if you are a newly graduated nurse who wants to develop a broad competence in the healthcare profession, or if you are an experienced nurse with the attitude to continue wanting to learn and share your knowledge.
About us on ward 31
Psychiatric ward 31 is an acute care ward for elderly psychiatry within 24-hour care, currently having 16 beds. On the ward, we work with psychiatric care, support, and treatment for elderly individuals with various psychiatric diagnoses. The care includes periodic basic care for several patients. Patients are cared for voluntarily or under compulsion with us. The staff group on the ward has worked together for a long time, and we place great value on a positive attitude in our work!
In elderly psychiatry, we place great focus on interaction. We want to create a calm, safe, and secure environment for our patient group, and you as a nurse play an important role. Both as a support through the model “one conversation a day” where we capture the patient's needs and thoughts during the day. But also as a bridge between different healthcare professions. On ward 31, you work closely with an experienced care team, senior physician, physiotherapist, social worker, and occupational therapist. All to help our patients in the best way!
The workplace is located at Nacka Hospital next to Ektorps Center with good communications and close to the scenic Nyckelviken and Långsjön. We have a close collaboration with our sister wards, eight in total, located in the same building.
Your work as a nurse
As a nurse on the ward, you have a leading role regarding psychiatric and somatic care. You also have contact with caregivers and relatives. You work with tasks such as medication distribution and documentation in the TakeCare journal system.
Our expectations of you
We are looking for you who grow in collaboration with others, who have the ability to meet patients with mental health issues and want to be part of developing the ward. You are flexible in your work with a positive basic attitude. You have an empathetic ability reflected in curiosity and openness to new people. We place great importance on personal suitability, flexibility, and good collaboration skills.
Furthermore, we require that you are a licensed nurse.
What can we offer you?
The position is a permanent employment, full-time, day and evening schedule. We work two weekends out of five.
We offer the opportunity to work in a workplace that allows for personal and professional development. We have a work environment with clear roles and a multiprofessional teamwork to ensure our patients receive good, safe, and equitable care.
As an employer, we care about our employees' health and well-being and offer, among other things, flexible hours, wellness hours, and 5,000 SEK in annual wellness allowance.
Does it sound interesting?
You apply for the position with a CV, cover letter, and certificates.
We look forward to meeting you and showing more of our operations at ward 31.
Warm welcome with your application! The position will be filled provided that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
