Väsby Psychiatric Reception 2 in Upplands Väsby is an outpatient clinic for patients with psychosis. Our working methods include pharmacological, family-oriented, and psychological treatment methods. The clinic is part of the newly established psychosis clinic in Stockholm.
The clinic operates in bright and spacious premises near Upplands Väsby’s commuter train station and center. Here, nurses, nursing assistants, psychologists, social workers, a medically responsible chief physician, specialist physicians, and, at times, ST and AT doctors work. Medical secretaries assist with overall administration. Our goal is to provide qualified treatments to our patients while creating a work environment that feels pleasant and inspiring for our employees. Collegiality, experience exchange, an open climate, and professional development are important factors for our nurses, factors that we actively work with.
One of our nurses is retiring, and another is going on parental leave, which is why we now have two positions available.
Job Responsibilities
As a nurse, you will be an important part of the development of care for our psychotic patients. As a nurse at our clinic, you have a central role in the treatment work and are an important part of creating safety and quality in care.
Some of the tasks within outpatient care for a nurse include medication management, supportive and follow-up conversations, and home visits. Furthermore, it is expected that you convey profession-specific knowledge in teamwork with other staff categories. Teaching and supervising nursing students are part of your job responsibilities.
As the acting deputy unit manager, you support the unit manager's work with the overall reception work and share leadership responsibility together with the unit manager. You also work clinically with the usual tasks as a nurse.
Your Qualifications
Licensed nurse with experience in psychiatric outpatient and/or inpatient care. Work experience within psychosis or specialist training in psychiatry is meritorious. A valid driver's license (B) is desirable.

You have a developed ability to meet people with varying moods. You enjoy working independently and structuring your workday. You are eager to share your profession-specific knowledge with other staff categories. We expect competent clinical judgment, a professional attitude, and the ability to collaborate.
Employment Form
Permanent employment, full-time 40 hours/week with working hours Monday-Friday 8-16:30.
Temporary position for at least one year with the possibility of extension or permanent employment, full-time 40 hours/week with working hours Monday-Friday 8-16:30.
One of the positions includes the role of acting deputy unit manager at the clinic. (At least one year).

- background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO’s overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
