Short-term Unit is looking for an Occupational Therapist!

We are looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping others and is confident in their professional role.

The Short-term Unit is located at Lindesberg Hospital and has capacity for 23 places, distributed across 13 rooms. All rooms are adapted to different care and support needs. The staff consists of nursing assistants, caregivers, nurses, occupational therapists, and a unit manager. If necessary, the unit is supplemented with consulting doctors and physiotherapists. All staff work from a rehabilitative approach.

Together with a team consisting of care staff, nurses, and unit managers, you will be responsible for the occupational therapy interventions. You will also have the rehabilitative responsibility for the unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an occupational therapist, you will be responsible for general and specific rehabilitation in collaboration with nurses, unit managers, and care staff as well as physiotherapists. In your role as an Occupational Therapist, you will assess needs and perform occupational therapy measures. This includes ADL assessments, carrying out rehabilitative measures in the form of activity training, and prescribing aids. The work also involves working with national quality registers to enhance quality assurance for individuals.

You will also document in the journal system and establish rehabilitation plans. The role also includes participating in care planning/SIP, guiding care staff, and attending team meetings and unit meetings.

The position is 100% and is a permanent employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist preferably with professional experience and references that can attest to your competence. A driver's license, class B, is required. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

It is also advantageous if you have:

  • Training in lifting and transfer techniques.
  • Experience in educating about lifting and transfer techniques.
  • Familiarity with the operational system Viva.
  • Experience in performing ADL assessments.

You are independent both alone and in a group, and you want to do your utmost for the patients. You are confident in your professional role, engaged, helpful, and accommodating.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
