Newly established specialist psychiatric care team in Söder is looking for additional colleagues!

The Specialist Psychiatric Care Team, SPOT, works closely with patients at a care level between outpatient care and full-day care. Here, there is an opportunity to provide more frequent interventions than in outpatient care, promote earlier discharge from full-day care, or even reduce the need for full-day care for the patient. SPOT Söder was newly established last autumn, and now we need to hire new colleagues as we expand the team.

SPOT has previously existed in the northern and western parts of the county as well as in Örebro.

The outpatient care of general psychiatry is part of the general psychiatry area. Our general psychiatric clinics are located in Hallsberg, Karlskoga, Lindesberg, and Örebro. Specialized clinics for, for example, electroconvulsive therapy, affective disorders, neuropsychiatric assessments, deaf psychiatry, and gender dysphoria are located in Örebro. We work with both individual and group therapy, as well as planned and acute visits and telephone counseling. Rehabilitation is part of our work, as are mobile interventions through our specialist psychiatric care teams (SPOT) and patient and family education. Together we work with common processes and goals. We work in multiprofessional teams based on a holistic view of the individual and adapt our care interventions to the patient's needs and circumstances. We strive to promote the involvement of relatives in the care.

The psychiatry in Region Örebro County is a specialist operation divided into five areas, all with a strong focus on ethics, collaboration, and development, as well as a well-functioning educational and research environment. Together, we are approximately 900 employees.

Region Örebro County is one of the largest employers in the county and an important growth engine in the region. We work for people's health, safety, and well-being and for the development of the county. With us, there are exciting and important jobs in areas such as health care, dental care, public transport, culture, and business development. Together, we create a better life.

Caregiver/Assistant in the Specialist Psychiatric Care Team SöderJob Responsibilities

SPOT works with individual care plans and in close collaboration with relatives and other actors around the patient. The work is carried out in close cooperation with general psychiatry's outpatient care, primarily in Hallsberg. The form of care is flexible and person-centered, where patients in a more acute phase can receive home visits, assessments, and qualified support conversations. When the patient's condition stabilizes and the team's intervention ends, the patient returns to their regular care contact.

With us, you will become an integral part of the psychiatric care team. You will have collegial fellowship and the opportunity for significant patient contact. You have a genuine interest in individuals with mental health issues and how, through teamwork, both internally and externally, and together with relatives, you can support the individual in better managing life outside the ward. We work in teams with coordinators, doctors, nurses, and caregivers, based in the general psychiatry facilities.
