About the Job
You will work with processing applications from individuals who need special income tax or an international A-tax.
You will receive an introduction and a mentor who will help you plan your work. You will then independently manage your cases and collaborate with others. You will request additional information via phone, mail, and digital mailboxes in contact with individuals and companies. With the support of laws and regulations, you will assess the material and make decisions. Some cases are simple and quick while others take more time. The work involves handling cases, and you will learn and gain new knowledge primarily regarding international taxation such as limited and unlimited tax liability, significant connection, etc. We have flexible working hours, and it is a given for us that you should have a balance between work and leisure.
You will belong to the personal taxation department and work in personal taxation unit 7. Your placement is in Uddevalla. In our section, we are 18 people.
About You
To do a good job and thrive with us at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be attentive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. Good judgment and understanding of legal security and safety are important in the work. In this job, you should:
- independently plan and drive your work forward to achieve results
- be good at collaborating and supporting others to achieve common goals

- be goal-oriented and contribute to achieving the purpose of the operation
- be able to speak and write simply and clearly in both Swedish and English
- be able to analyze information flows, see connections, and make decisions.
You should also have:
- an ongoing (at least 60 approved credits) or recently completed university education of at least 180 credits in economics or law, or an ongoing (at least 200 approved YH points) or recently completed YH education in economics or law.
- current and relevant work experience in administrative or case-handling work, for example from public service, agencies, insurance companies, or banks.
Good to Know
The employment is temporary from May 1 to August 31, 2026.
The employment is full-time. There is an opportunity to combine any studies with the work as a tax officer during May and August, as leave can be granted for exams, seminars, and lectures after consultation with the responsible manager. There will be some internal training sessions in May that we want you to participate in.
Due to the nature of the tasks, there is no possibility to work from home in this job.

In this recruitment, we may use psychological tests.
An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
