About the AssignmentWe are looking for a department manager who takes overall responsibility for the project office and business development in a socially important operation. You will lead a department focused on planning, control, and documentation of construction and civil engineering projects, ensuring that projects are managed in a structured manner and achieve good results. The role also includes business development with a focus on creating business opportunities, building external networks, and contributing to the long-term development of the organization.
You will have operational, financial, and personnel responsibility and be part of the company management team. The content of the assignment may evolve over time and could encompass a larger area of responsibility.
The assignment requires a security clearance. During the clearance process, the work may initially involve non-classified tasks.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop the project office's methods for planning, control, and documentation of projects
- Ensure a clear vision and prioritization together with the steering group
- Be responsible for ensuring that projects are managed with quality, structure, and follow-up
- Personnel responsibility for the team (mainly project managers)
- Be responsible for the department's financial performance, including follow-up and reporting
- Drive business development through external contacts, networking, and development initiatives
- Contribute to the company management and collaborate with other parts of the organization
- At least a couple of years of managerial experience and experience working in a management team
- Several years of experience in project management within construction, civil engineering, and/or processes
- Ability to undergo and be approved in a security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship, dual citizenship is not permitted)
- Technical university education equivalent to a master's degree or bachelor's degree in engineering
- Experience from the public sector and politically governed organizations
- Experience from limited companies
- Knowledge of contract law
- Experience in the water and wastewater sector and/or environmental work, such as permit applications, environmental management systems, consultations, or supervision
