Residential Support Workers for Funkpoolen

Do you enjoy working with children and can quickly adapt to new working methods and environments? Then you could be our new colleague. We are looking for three residential support workers for our Funkpoolen service, focusing on LSS short-term care and children's homes.

Funkpoolen is a service that assists regular operations with staff during illness, absence, or other needs. We work to support individuals with disabilities, both children and adults. In total, we are around 50 people working with personal assistance, LSS, social psychiatry, and various work and activity initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Working as a residential support worker in our pool service is an incredibly flexible and mobile job. Working hours vary from day to day, and you will be booked through the staffing unit. You will work days, evenings, and weekends. A basic schedule exists, which days you work do not change, but with very short notice, both working hours and workplace can change.

Typical tasks you perform include personal care, healthcare tasks, household tasks, and social activities. The work is carried out in the form of support and interventions based on the child's individual needs, which can take place at home, in short-term accommodations, in leisure activities, or other activities.

This role is both physically and mentally demanding, and you will encounter challenging behaviors in those you help and support. For those who thrive in a varied work environment concerning individuals and workplaces, this role is both developing and stimulating.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who finds joy in being able to influence the life situation of others. You have at least two years of experience working with individuals with autism, mental illness, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and/or developmental disabilities. A completed and approved high school education is also a requirement. To fulfill your duties, you need a B driver's license for manual transmission as driving is a part of the job, and you should be in good physical condition. It is a plus if you are a trained nursing assistant or childcare worker, have worked with journal systems, and have experience in care work.

Personal qualities are essential for this position. You thrive in a work environment where conditions can change rapidly. For example, working hours and workplaces can change with very short notice. You need to be adaptable and able to quickly familiarize yourself with new tasks and environments. In this role, you will meet many different individuals each week and new colleagues at the various units you are placed in. Therefore, you should be accustomed to working independently and able to understand instructions, both written and verbal. As a person, you are secure, stable, and calm, with the ability to see what needs to be done.
