Do you have previous experience in purchasing and want to continue your development with our global client in the automotive industry? Are you used to taking responsibility and thrive in an environment where you can be self-driven while working closely with a team? Welcome to your application!

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Friday is seeking a Strategic Buyer on behalf of our client for a team working with indirect purchasing within Facility Purchasing. The assignment is long-term and covers a wide area of responsibility in purchasing energy solutions, solar panels, waste management, battery recycling, and maintenance services for approximately 25 facilities in Sweden. You will be part of a dynamic team of 11 people, split between Gothenburg and internationally. You will become part of an inclusive team that values flexibility and collaboration. There is a mix of junior and senior colleagues, and there are good opportunities for development. The culture is unpretentious; the most important thing is that you solve tasks together.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Operational and strategic purchasing work within facility management.
  • Sourcing of services in maintenance, waste, energy, and sustainability.
  • Drive procurements and build structure in a sometimes chaotic environment.
  • Support in the development of predictive maintenance and investments.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders in a global context.
  • Contribute to effective purchasing work with a long-term focus.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

We are looking for someone who is self-driven, analytical, and has a positive attitude. You are not afraid to take responsibility or to take charge when needed.
Furthermore, you have:

  • 2-5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably within larger companies and in maintenance services.
  • Experience in both operational and strategic purchasing work.
  • The ability to prioritize and work structured, even under pressure.
  • A high degree of collaboration skills – you enjoy working with others and are curious about the business.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, as the language is communicated internally as well as externally.

It is an advantage if you:

  • Have worked with indirect purchasing.
  • Have a post-secondary education in purchasing, economics, or equivalent.
  • Have a good understanding of industrial environments and facility operations.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday but with good opportunities to transition to a permanent position with the client.

OTHER INFORMATION:
  • Extent: Full-time
  • Location: Gothenburg
  • Start: March 2026
  • Recruitment responsible: Sophie Tisell
