Your new job

Your tasks will include being responsible for the educational content of the teaching and working according to the preschool's governing documents during planning, teaching, and follow-up. You will design and develop the teaching in collaboration with the work team, as well as inspire the children through planned activities while also taking advantage of spontaneous teaching moments that promote play and learning. In your daily work, you contribute to ensuring that care, development, and learning form a coherent whole. You create trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues, stimulate children's development and learning, and provide safe care in the preschool.

Kålgården Preschool Area is located in the central parts of Jönköping. We have four preschools and twelve departments. We are now looking for a preschool teacher for a temporary position in one of our 1-3 year departments.

Fundamental to our operations is a language and knowledge-developing approach and an accessible learning environment for equity. We work to realize this through conscious choices of content, methods, and learning tools. We also strive to strengthen pedagogical relationships to enhance each child's self-esteem and trust in their abilities.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is independent, stable, and has good collaboration skills. You are relationship-building and find it easy to establish trusting contacts with both children, colleagues, and guardians.

You are a qualified preschool teacher with a teaching license, or at the end of your education and have not yet obtained a license. You have a good understanding of the preschool's mission and its governing documents, and it is an advantage if you have previous experience working in a preschool. You have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and possess basic IT skills. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Good to know

The position is a temporary position during the spring term of 2026 with the possibility of extension.

Before hiring new employees for our teaching positions, we must ensure that there is a valid teaching license. Therefore, we ask you to attach a current teaching license obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education within the last two months.
