Network Specialist for Planning and Execution

We are looking for a driven and engaged network specialist to join our Planning and Execution section, contributing to the creation of robust, secure, and future-proof IT and communication solutions.

About the Position

Our business idea is to be the obvious energy and IT communication provider within Örnsköldsvik municipality, offering products and services of high quality, good standards, and maximum availability.

To meet future needs, we are now strengthening our section with a network specialist who will help develop and streamline our active environment, as well as work on operational reliability and optimization of the fiber network.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and configuration of the active infrastructure - such as switches, routers, and servers.
• Participate in and sometimes lead technical investigations, projects, and development efforts.
• Actively contribute to operational reliability work and improvement of our network services.
• Manage and further develop server environments in both Windows and Linux.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a university degree in networking/IT or equivalent knowledge through experience.
• Has experience in similar work within network technology.
• Masters switching and routing in advanced environments.
• Is comfortable in Linux environments where several of our support systems are operated.
