Then you might be the one we are looking for to fill the position of assistant in home care! We are now seeking assistants who want to work on a monthly contract for 6 months!

What does an assistant in home care do?

A lot! The tasks are varied and may include:

• Personal care and support in daily activities, such as hygiene and meals
• Social support through presence and activities that promote health and well-being
• Support in care and support efforts in collaboration with colleagues and licensed personnel
• Observations of changes in the user's health and contact with responsible staff as needed
• Documentation and work based on implementation plans.

Of course, we offer a thorough introduction based on your own conditions. You will have time to learn the job step by step, shadow experienced colleagues, receive clear routines, and have the opportunity to ask questions. We want to give you good conditions to settle into the role and feel secure in your tasks!

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends on a rotating schedule.

In all home care areas in Partille municipality, cleaning is performed by an external service company.

Qualifications

For the position of assistant in home care, you need to have a driver's license as we move around during the day and work in the homes of our elderly. If you have experience working in home care or other areas of elderly care, it is an advantage. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

We are looking for someone who can quickly read and adapt to changing circumstances and situations. As exciting things are happening in elderly care, we also want you to be someone who views change positively, is quick to absorb new information and new working methods, and shares both successes and setbacks, as that is how we improve and develop! Furthermore, you have the mentality that problems are meant to be solved and actively work to find solutions when needed. Last but not least, we want you to be great at collaborating!

Good to know

Provided that you meet the requirements for the position, it is mandatory to undergo a digital language test to ensure competence at the B1 level according to the Council of Europe's standards before any interview. Please note that the process will be interrupted if the language test is not passed. You will need to identify yourself with Bank-ID to take the language test.

The Health and Care Administration consists of four departments: Assistance and Health, Functional Support, Elderly Care, and Support and Development. The Health and Care Committee is politically responsible for the administration's work. Our operations involve providing care, support, and services to elderly individuals and those in need of functional support. We also provide some health care. The vision includes that our efforts should be carried out safely, securely, with dignity, and with influence.

Partille municipality's home care is divided into geographical areas where each area has dedicated staff who perform care, support, and service efforts. We work based on a business idea that focuses on the individual's own resources and complements with necessary efforts so that the user feels secure and can live as independently as possible in their home environment.

We are currently looking for assistants for our teams in Sävedalen, Centrum, and Björndammen! As an employee in home care, you will have the opportunity to develop through the career path model FAVO (more employees in care and support). The model simplifies and makes it more attractive for our employees to enhance their competence in the field and further their education. There is also a mentorship connected to the career path model that you, as an employee, will be a part of, with the goal of motivating transitions between the roles of assistant, care assistant, nursing assistant, and specialist nursing assistant.
