We are looking for a Senior Construction Manager for the Lundbyleden project at Trafikverket.

This is a consultancy assignment based in Gothenburg.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which requires a high degree of flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

As a Senior Construction Manager for Lundbyleden at Trafikverket, you will be a resource consultant responsible for ensuring that construction work is carried out according to contracts, drawings, technical requirements, and regulations. The role includes monitoring time, cost, quality, environment, work environment, and safety, as well as providing technical advice and transferring knowledge to Trafikverket's staff. The position is performed in collaboration with the project manager and is part of a joint project for coordinating several measures around Lundbyleden.

Responsibilities

Identify problem areas and provide advice to the client before decisions on preventive and corrective measures.

Check drawings and other documents and compare/verify on-site.

Together with the project manager, ensure that the assigned contract is executed in accordance with contracts, drawings, and other documents.

Monitor schedules, incurred costs, and other orders, and assist in forecasting the final cost of the contract.

Ensure that regulatory requirements are met and monitor that necessary permits are in place.

Follow up on technology, economy, time, quality, environment, work environment, and safety, as well as reporting.

Follow up and document changes and additional work, as well as quantity deviations, according to the project's applicable routines.

Participate in the evaluation and selection of alternatives for technical solutions. Participate in the project's and contract's quality and environmental work.

Ensure that the contractor's self-control regarding quality, environment, safety, and work environment is carried out according to agreed plans.

Coordinate with other technical branches and adjacent contracts.

Participate and be responsible for necessary inspections and assessments.

Assist in compiling the final documentation of the project. Check and follow up that the requirements set out in the contract documents have been met, which includes, for example, work preparations, control programs, inspection plans, measurements, and tests, as well as monitoring the contractor's arrangements for temporary traffic arrangements and safety measures, etc.

Carry out the assignment in collaboration and under the direction of the client's project manager.

Provide technical advice.

Requirements (Mandatory)

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

At least 10 years of experience as a construction manager or site manager or equivalent for assignments that have included civil engineering contracts where bridges have been a relevant part of the assignment's content.

Experience, as a construction manager or site manager or equivalent, with concrete bridges with a theoretical span of at least 20 m.

Experience, as a construction manager or site manager or equivalent, with prestressed bridges.

Experience with collaboration/cooperation models.

Have a university/college degree in civil engineering or other education and experience that we consider equivalent.

Knowledge of contract law (AB, ABT, and ABK) and AMA Construction.

Good communication skills in speech and writing.

Good negotiation skills.

Valid Work on Road level at least 1.1-1.3

Valid BASÄVista competence.

Valid certification according to concrete course class 1.

Valid driver's license B.

Meritorious

Experience with foundation work such as concrete piling and KC column installations, in the role of construction manager, site manager, or equivalent.

Experience with sheet piling in the role of construction manager, site manager, or equivalent.

You have good teamwork skills. You work well with others. Relate to them in a responsive and flexible manner. Listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively.

You are proactive. That is, you take initiative, start activities, and achieve results.
