Here, you will help create security for patients throughout their surgical journey – before, during, and after the procedure.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse in our pre- and postoperative care, you are the hub of the patient's surgical journey. You create security and safety for patients both before and after the procedure, whether it involves day surgery or longer hospital stays. Your work includes, among other things:

• Preparation for surgery: Assess health status, inform and prepare day surgery patients.
• Postoperative care: Provide qualified care, pain relief, and support for both inpatient and day surgery patients.
• Monitoring and assessment: Follow vital parameters, detect and act on complications caused by procedures or anesthesia early.
• Medication management: Administer medications and treatments according to prescription with a focus on patient safety.
• Documentation & reporting: Carefully document care interventions and report changes in the patient's condition.
• Interprofessional collaboration: Work closely with doctors, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare staff to create a holistic view and a secure care plan.
• Caring for critically ill patients: Participate in monitoring and caring for patients in the intensive care unit as needed.

We offer a solid introduction with individual training and close support in your new role. Working hours are mainly Monday to Friday, but weekend work may occur.
