We are now looking for some employees for the summer, primarily as housing supporters, but there is also a need in the kitchen if you have training as a chef. There is also some need for janitorial work with simpler tasks such as painting, gardening, lawn mowing, etc.

Ekbacka was established in 1981 and is located in Urshult, Kronoberg County, and is a special accommodation facility with permission to receive 40 clients with mental and social disabilities. Today, about 30 people work at Ekbacka in various professional groups, and in addition to housing supporters, we have our own kitchen/kitchen staff, our own daily activities, as well as janitorial and cleaning services on site.

In the role of housing supporter, you will base your work on the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you will work towards the goal of making the day meaningful and safe. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, and other routines. You will be part of a team of 2-4 people and have a manager nearby who spends part of their time working in the facility. You will receive a customized summer schedule with day, evening, and weekend shifts. Summer at Ekbacka is a fun and hectic time with many activities for our residents, of which you will be an important part. Our clients, like everyone else, have a vacation from everyday life with trips to the beach, barbecues, city excursions, coffee trips, etc.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important.
