Family Law Officer in Älvsbyn
Do you want to make a real difference for children and families in Älvsbyn? We are looking for a dedicated family law officer who enjoys independent work and has broad contact areas.
In Älvsbyn Municipality, you will be part of a small but highly competent and supportive team where we care for each other and help each other achieve good results. The social services include areas such as children and youth, foster homes, family law, financial assistance, and adults. The team consists of 14 officers, one administrator, one senior social worker, and a unit manager. We are a closely-knit group that supports each other, and we can offer a pleasant workplace with close managerial support.
About the position
As a family law officer with us, you will work across the entire family law field. Your main responsibilities include:
- Independently handle and investigate cases regarding custody, residence, and visitation on behalf of the district court.
- Conduct collaborative conversations to help parents reach agreements on matters concerning the best interests of the children.
- Work with paternity/parenthood establishment and adoption issues.
- Provide information and advice to individuals and families.
Working in a smaller municipality gives you the opportunity to be involved in the entire process and develop in your professional role through varied tasks.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker and has experience in family law work.
- Education: Degree in social work or equivalent academic qualification.
- Experience: Experience with family law cases and investigative work is an advantage.
- Personal qualities: You are confident, communicative, and flexible. You have a good ability to work independently but also enjoy collaborating with the team. You have a strong commitment to the best interests of children and a good ethical compass.
- Other: Experience with the operational system Combine is a plus.
We offer you
We offer a permanent full-time position with a fixed monthly salary (probationary employment may apply). A certain remote work arrangement may be possible based on the conditions of the operation.
