Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a teacher in Swedish as a second language (SVA) for our adult education operations in Kungsbacka, where you will primarily work with our language support students who are enrolled in combined programs. Currently, students are studying to become nursing assistants and support assistants while also learning Swedish as a second language at basic and upper secondary levels. You will work on lesson planning, assessment, and grading, as well as guide students based on their individual study plans. You will collaborate closely with our vocational teachers to best integrate Swedish instruction with vocational courses. In addition to students in combined programs, you will also teach students taking SVA1 or SV1 through our learning platform.

Language and language development are prioritized issues at the school as we face new language requirements in elderly care.

Your Profile

• Licensed and qualified teacher in Swedish as a second language, 90 credits.
• Licensed and qualified teacher in Swedish is not a requirement but is meritorious.
• Experience in adult education is meritorious but not required.
• Experience teaching in the Care and Nursing program and/or the Children and Leisure program is meritorious but not required.
• Experience working with GERS B1/B2 level is meritorious, as is experience in language development.

The Position

The position is a permanent employment at 80%, with a 6-month probationary period. Working hours are scheduled during the day, with evening hours possible on rare occasions. Start date is March 2 or by agreement. We apply the collective agreement between Almega service companies and Sweden's teachers.
