Svalorna Indien Bangladesh is looking for a junior communicator for our office in Lund. This is a part-time position suitable for those who want to develop professionally, strengthen their CV, and contribute to global solidarity.

About the role

As a junior communicator, you will have a broad and developing role where you work closely with the organization. You will be involved in planning and implementing the association's communication towards members and the public, primarily via social media, website, newsletters, and simpler printed materials.

You will also work with member care and donor services, as well as support collaborations with individuals and companies. The role provides good insight into how communication, fundraising, and administration interact in a non-profit organization.

Since we are a small organization, you will quickly gain significant responsibility, the opportunity to test ideas, develop work methods, and influence both content and structure.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has theoretical knowledge in communication, media, PR, marketing, or a similar field
• Has some practical experience in communication work, for example through studies, internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer engagement
• Has a graphic eye and an interest in layout or composing info-graphics
• Experience in content creation for social media
• Has worked with tools such as WordPress, Canva, and Mailchimp
• Is quick to adapt to new digital systems, such as CRM systems
• Has an interest in the non-profit sector, justice issues, and international development work
• Speaks fluent Swedish

Meritorious:

• Experience with advertising on social media (Meta)
• Basic knowledge of Google Ads and Google Ad Grants
• Engagement in a non-profit organization, student association, or similar

Personal qualities

You are curious, self-driven, and enjoy working in a varied environment. You thrive in a non-prestigious atmosphere where collaboration is encouraged and are not afraid to try new things. You express yourself fluently in writing in Swedish and have good knowledge of English.

Employment conditions

The position is part-time, up to 30%, and is located at Svalorna's office at Spolegatan 5 in Lund, adjacent to our second-hand store. Working hours can be adjusted in dialogue to fit well with studies.

Salary within the association's salary range, depending on experience and time commitment. We have a collective agreement with Fremia/Unionen. A probationary period of 6 months applies, with a good possibility of permanent employment.
