Then you might be the one we are looking for for the role of economist with accounting and payroll responsibility at NordGen.

As an economist at NordGen, you will have a broad and qualified responsibility within accounting, payroll administration, and financial monitoring. You will work closely with the operations and actively contribute to developing, digitalizing, and streamlining our financial routines. The role involves both operational and strategic work in a small but important support function.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ongoing accounting and year-end closing work.
  • Participation in budget and forecasting work.
  • Payroll administration for employees in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark (in collaboration with an external payroll partner).
  • Responsibility for accounts payable and payment routines.
  • Development, digitalization, and documentation of financial processes and routines.
  • Other administration related to finance, HR, and meeting facilitation.

Qualifications:

  • Academic degree in finance/accounting or equivalent.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in qualified financial work, preferably in an international or public context.
  • Good knowledge of accounting according to Swedish standards.
  • Experience in payroll administration, preferably in several Nordic countries.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and financial systems, preferably Hogia Ekonomi and Hogia Approval.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish or another Scandinavian language as well as English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

  • Good knowledge of digitalization: We would like you to have documented experience of driving digitalization projects or implementing advanced digital solutions within finance and payroll administration. You should have a good understanding of automation, digital workflows, and integration of financial systems, as well as being updated on new technologies and digital tools that streamline financial processes.
  • Experience of working in a Nordic or international organization.
  • Knowledge of Norwegian and Danish regulations for payroll and accounting.

  • You are solution-oriented and have a proactive working style and are willing to take your own initiatives.

Other

The position is a fixed-term employment for four years with the possibility of extension for another four years. You will report to the Administrative Manager. Start date according to agreement.
