We are now looking for nurse substitutes for the summer of 2026. The urgent care center opened on June 1, 2021, and is a 24/7 operation that is welcoming, allowing patients to seek care directly. The urgent care center is part of close care, and through increased accessibility, it creates security and a closer care experience for the population of Västerbergslagen. It aims to be a modern digital reception.

Our mission is to provide emergency medical care for children and adults that cannot wait but do not require the resources of a hospital. We work in two teams: triage team and field team, where all employees take significant responsibility for their tasks, and we strive for everyone to have their own areas of responsibility. All our patients come via drop-in and are initially assessed by a nurse and a nursing assistant. Further handling and final assessment are done by a doctor or completed by a nurse.

Temporary Nurse Day/Night Urgent Care Ludvika

The job includes assisting with various procedures, sample collection and analysis in our own laboratory, as well as performing medication orders including inhalations, infusions, and injections. You will work both in triage/assessment and as a field nurse, and you should feel confident in assessing and treating emergency patients and receiving ambulance transports.

As a nurse, you have a leading role, and it is important that you can prioritize, reprioritize, coordinate, and delegate tasks to the rest of the team. Communication/information and close collaboration with all professional categories are essential for smooth operations. We use the Cosmic journal system since the autumn of 2025 and utilize the RETTS assessment support. The urgent care center operates around the clock, with shifts during the day, evening, and/or night, as well as weekends.

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse

Meritorious:

• Specialist training in emergency care, pediatrics, outpatient health care, or ambulance services
• Experience in emergency care and primary care
• Experience with the Cosmic journal system

This job involves direct and regular contact with children and/or adolescents.
