What We Do and Want
Tyresö Municipality is continuously looking for new employees who want to make a difference for people with various disabilities.
We are looking for escorts, relief workers, and contact persons. We process applications on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to send in your CV and personal letter.
About the Positions
As a relief worker, you will be with the child in the family's home during evenings and/or weekends. Relief is an alternative for parents to have time for recovery, personal activities, or for siblings and their activities. Relief takes place in the child's home or in close proximity to the home.
As an escort, you accompany a youth or adult to activities, giving the person an opportunity to participate in leisure activities, cultural life, or visit friends. Activities are usually in the evenings and on weekends.
As a contact person, you provide social support and friendship. You meet and do something together, such as walking, having coffee, going to the movies, or just sitting and talking. There are no requirements for any specific activity or a certain number of hours to meet at a time. Depending on the scope of the assignment, you meet two to four times a month during the day, evening, or weekend.
Relief workers and escorts have a temporary hourly employment of about 8-24 hours/month where you receive an hourly wage. As a contact person, you receive a fixed monthly compensation for your assignment, which consists of a fee and a reimbursement according to SKR.
For these positions, a valid extract from the police criminal record (LSS) is a prerequisite for employment, and you must be at least 18 years old.
Who Are You?
We are looking for individuals with experience or interest in working with people with disabilities. It is beneficial if you are active and enjoy planning activities. You should be attentive, flexible, and clear. You must be able to work according to the needs and wishes of others and distinguish them from your own needs and values. We place great importance on personal suitability.
Welcome with Your Application
Warmly welcome with your application, no later than February 15, 2026. Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis.
