About the position

Our work is based on low-arousal responses and positive behavioral support, where our ability to build relationships, motivate, and inspire is crucial. We work with a salutogenic perspective where the healthy is allowed to take space. With us, the main character is always at the center; therefore, it is important that you are attentive and clear, that you feel comfortable and exude calm and security even in unpredictable situations. The job requires you to be solution-focused, secure in yourself, and able to handle and have experience with challenging behaviors.

We also place great importance on being curious and actively participating in the work team, taking initiatives, participating in activities, and following common guidelines and action plans. You are expected to work both independently and in a group and to manage regular household chores.

About the role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will provide individually tailored support to people with disabilities and mental health issues, aiming to promote their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support the main characters in their daily routines and activities based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for the main characters to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

  • Good computer skills, experience with documentation.

  • Experience working with people with disabilities and comorbidity.

  • Secondary education such as child and leisure program, health and care program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.

Preferred if you also have
  • Experience working in LSS housing.

  • Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.

  • Worked with complex support needs.

Employment conditions

Employment type: Permanent employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months. Working hours: Part-time approximately 80%Working time: Scheduled working hours, evenings and weekends, as well as on-call duty. Start date: By agreement, we look positively on if you can start shortly.Collective agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
