Welcome to Jakobsbergs Geriatrics, Jakobsbergs Hospital! We are located near Barkarbystaden with good transportation links.
For the summer of 2026, we are looking for dedicated nurses who want to work with us during the summer period, with good opportunities for extension.

Job Responsibilities:
As a nurse with us, you will be responsible for planning and executing patient care together with the team, the patient, and relatives. You will meet patients with various diagnoses in both acute and stable care situations. The work includes, among other things, medication administration (we use inpatient dosing), nursing work, and handling of medical technology equipment.
Each department has discharge coordinators who relieve the nurse in the discharge process, contributing to good patient safety and a sustainable work environment.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Licensed nurse
Meritorious:
- Experience in geriatrics and/or inpatient care
- Specialist training or other relevant further education

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, flexibility, and a professional demeanor. You are clear and attentive in your communication, see the whole picture around the patient, and contribute to a good work climate.
About Us:
Jakobsbergs Geriatrics has five units for patients with acute medical conditions of both medical, surgical, or orthopedic causes and/or rehabilitation needs. Two of these units are specialized in stroke and acute confusion.

The position will be filled provided that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
In patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:
- background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
