Scania Industrial Maintenance AB is a technical production support company that is part of Scania CV AB. About the role

We are now looking for an operational buyer for our logistics organization in Södertälje. You will be part of a team of nine colleagues with similar responsibilities.

As an operational buyer, you will be responsible for daily purchases from your dedicated suppliers. The work involves both call-offs and requests for quotes, where you monitor and ensure deliveries, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.

An important part of the role is to maintain ongoing dialogue with both corporate customers and suppliers to uphold good relationships and efficient purchasing flows. You will also support your colleagues in the team as needed.

Your main responsibilities

• Execute call-offs and handle requests for quotes with suppliers.

• Monitor deliveries and ensure the right quality and delivery precision.
• 
  
• Actively work on cost optimization and maintain continuous dialogue with suppliers and internal customers.
• 
  
• Handle complaints and contribute to inventory optimization.
• 
  
• Collaborate closely with production, purchasing department, local maintenance planners, and project department for machine purchases.
• 
  
• Support colleagues in the team as needed and contribute to a common working method.

Who are you?

We are looking for a communicative person who enjoys working independently. The role suits you if you are proactive, analytical, and appreciate structure. Acting commercially and being stable in stressful situations is an important trait. Since the work involves supplier contracts, you need to be communicative and proficient in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

We would like you to have:

- Experience from the logistics industry. - Experience in purchasing work

- Experience from the manufacturing industry

- Very good knowledge of the Office suite

- A driving license (B) is an advantage

- Experience with the business system Maximo is an advantage
